Gabriela Southern Tagalog is the regional arm of the biggest and militant women’s alliance in the Philippines.

The regional chapter coordinates campaigns and activities for Gabriela chapters in the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan.

Gabriela Southern Tagalog conducts educational campaigns for the empowerment of women in the region, discussing a variety of topics in grassroots communities and factories, such as: Violence Against Women; National and Regional Women’s Situationers; Women and Family Healthcare and several others.

Gabriela Southern Tagalog also assists unions in the Southern Tagalog industrial belt in the formation of women’s desks and grievance committees to help address problems of sexual harassment in the workplace.

The regional women’s alliance also assists victims of gender violence in the region through counseling and assisting them in their legal battles.
